TWO HULLS ARE BETTER THAN ONE – AN ELEGANT CATAMARAN HONEYMOON SESSION IN SANTORINI
One of the most spectacular days in a couple’s life is without a doubt the day they exchange their vows but that doesn’t mean the joyride should halt right there. Especially when they get to hop on their honeymoon right after.
With a destination as dreamy as Santorini island, reaping the pleasures of the season, feeding body and soul with azure water cruises and lazy days under the sun, feasting in good food and wine makes honeymooning so much more than a sentimental journey.
From romantic dining for two on a sunbaked deck, to chilled toasts of champagne and salty breeze strung through the afternoon air, we wished to present an alternative to the classical sailing trip.
We opted to style this elegant catamaran cruise on the Kallisti, the newest Lagoon 450 that has been designed with remarkable living space (it can host up to 21 guests) and superb levels of comfort and performance, lavish indoors and relaxing open spaces for our newlyweds to be able to share all the pleasures of a premium cruising lifestyle.
Retracing the steps modern-day shipping magnates and a-listing crowds, who arrive on the isle to seek out spots that have remained blissfully inured to change, we took a day trip around the white rock towers and sunken volcanoes. The peace, tangible as the cerulean body of water at Armeni bay where our lovebirds enjoyed a fresh catch cook-out performed by the captain himself.
While an epic sunset was waiting just around the corner to have them dive in the Shangri-La of Oia’s magic, the ancient coastline began to glimmer softly in the distance. Still wondering why planning a Santorini honeymoon can keep your good-life loving hearts aflutter? Check out these images by Sotiris Tsakanikas and Andreas Markakis.
